It is an honor to write this testimonial for Gabriela Vatamanu, who recently helped us make our dream of owning an apartment in Manhattan come true. We are long-time residents of San Francisco, but Manhattan has been one of our favorite destinations for many years. We go there for the culture, the shows and the vibrant life of one of the greatest places on earth!

In May of this year (2016), we decided to look for a small pied-a-terre. We had agreed that most neighborhoods would be acceptable, although we preferred the Upper East Side or Upper West Side. We told Gabriela what we could afford, and that we wanted a dog-friendly building that would allow a pied-a-terre. She immediately set up some appointments and we met at a building on E. 81st St. We liked her right away, and she showed us a wonderful small apt. in a fabulous building. It turned out that the place would probably be sold at a price that exceeded our budget, but we found out that another, similar apt. in the building might be coming up soon.

We saw several places all over Manhattan and Gabriela tirelessly worked to find us our dream apt. Gabriela held our hand and walked us through all the hurdles and complexities of purchasing a coop. It is not for the faint of heart. She was so responsive and kept us informed every step of the way. She never, ever gave up, and she encouraged and guided us through a process that is not simple in any way.

She helped us with the reams of documents, and she was our champion in explaining our particular financial situation to the management and board responsible for approving the purchasers of a coop. We would not be the proud owners of a lovely studio apartment in a wonderful, safe, convenient building 6 blocks from Central Park without Gabriela Vatamanu.

I met Gabriela in 2012 at an open house when I was in the market for buying an apartment in Manhattan. I found her to be immediately likable and I was impressed by her knowledge about the market. She followed up with me very soon after our meeting and if it hadn''t been for her, I likely would have allowed more and more time to go by before beginning my search, a decision I know I would have regretted. Gabriela always did her homework and she took me to see around 30-40 different apartments before I found the one I fell in love with. She was always on time, she always made me feel comfortable, and not once did I ever feel pushed to make a decision I was not comfortable with. She was very patient with my indecisiveness and even trepidation that comes with buying your first property in Manhattan! She always walked me through every bit of information I needed to know in a way I could understand easily and kept me updated and informed about everything along the way. The difficult issue of applying to a Co-op board was made easy with Gabriela. She built my board package like a pro and coached me on my interview. I got approved and I give a lot of that credit to her! She made the process seem less daunting and very relaxed and was available for me at any moment. She negotiated the deal in such a way that would make others envious and I ended up getting a great deal on the apartment of my dreams! I would highly recommend Gabriela to absolutely anyone looking to buy or sell in the Manhattan market! She was truly fantastic!
