|Hikaru Tashiro has worked in the New York City real estate business since 2010. She has quickly become one of the most prominent real estate agents among clients, other brokers and landlords.
With confidence she says, "Where I come from, good work ethic, respect (for others) and integrity are deeply ingrained in the society, and the business relationships that I have established are direct results of that."
During her first year in the business, she established herself as a reputed downtown expert. Especially she has a love for lofts and townhouses, which meet her affinity for character and architectural details. Coming from design background, she also has a keen eye for unique spaces and high end properties, and she has the ability to merge clients' aesthetic needs with their more practical needs.
Originally from Japan, Hikaru made her move to New York in 1996 and she immediately found the city and the people fascinating. "The move was the best gift that I ever gave to myself." Ever since she has been developing great affinity for the city through her exploration. "This city is constantly changing, and it amazes me that after 18+ years there are still new things that I discover everyday." It was only natural when she came into the real estate business and she is still doing 'her thing' exploring and finding out what this city has to offer.
"I consider myself as a consultant of New York City life." She provides her clients not only her profound interest and knowledge of New York City real estate market but also ins and outs of New York City lifestyle as a whole.
Hikaru is also an artist and she enjoys silkscreen printing and photography. She attended Parsons The New School for Design and her time there inspired her to turn her flat into a dark room. One of her dreams is to find 'Andy Warhol's Factory' like cool artist loft and create a unique live/work loft space as her own showroom for clients.
She has lived in many different neighborhoods and witnessed the transformation of different neighborhoods. She is currently a proud Brooklynite. She has long lived in Park Slope and its beautiful vicinity neighborhoods where she built a strong appreciation for Brooklyn. Abandoned factories of Williamsburg, Greenwood Cemetery, Victorian houses in Windsor Terrace, nostalgic Gowanus Canal, brownstones of Park Slope, Prospect Park in winter, Europe like Grand Army Plaza and its Farmer's Market, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, industrial buildings in Dumbo, fantastic view of the city from Brooklyn Heights Promenade, hidden streets of Vinegar Hill, architectural beauty Brooklyn Bridge, aesthetically aged amusement park of Coney Island... New York City is just a perfect muse for her art.
Hikaru is still in her early years in the business, yet her strong work ethic, her commitment to her clients (Hikaru never fails to put her client's best interest first!), transparency and the highest standard of integrity built upon her traditional roots are already rewarding her with a business of constant referrals and repeat clients.
She is a rare breed of New York City real estate agent and as a consummate professional; she will be your agent for life!
REAL PEOPLE REAL REVIEWS:

I've had the pleasure of having Hikaru Tashiro find two amazing apartments for me over the last few years. Not only have I found apartments alone and with a roommate, but my needs and budget for each apartment have changed every time and she has always delivered. By far, she is the best realtor I have ever had. Having experienced and heard my share of apartment hunting horror stories, I can say she is a wonder. Completely professional, friendly, dedicated, and honest. I cannot recommend her more.

Hikaru was a pleasure to work with. We did not end up renting an apartment from her, but she was by far the best agent in every respect among the many we worked with: She finds great apartments (that aren't out of your range), is timely and professional in all her correspondences, and is totally honest with you, putting your needs above her own desire to make a commission. To most brokers in NYC real estate, you are just a number -- a fee waiting to be collected when they put you in an apartment as quickly as possible. But Hikaru treats you like a person; she takes her time, not rushing you along, and is always very friendly (which is a big help in apartment-hunting, a naturally stressful process). I highly recommend her for anyone looking for real estate in NYC.

Hikaru is absolutely amazing! I have lived in New York for several years and moved every year. She is absolutely the best and most professional broker I have ever worked with. She listened to what I wanted and sent me many options to look through. We saw several apartments together. She worked with me on my schedule. I have a busy job and work lots of hours. She made sure to get appointments to view apartments that worked with my schedule. She gave me a list of required paperwork as soon as we met. She collected all my paperwork as I gave it to her and reminded me of what was missing. When I finally found the apartment I wanted, all my paperwork was in order and the lease signing went off without a hitch.
I have already recommended her to several friends and would recommend her to absolutely anyone. If you are looking for an honest, professional and hardworking broker, Hikaru is the person to go to.

Finding an apartment in New York City can be daunting, but Hikaru Tashiro from Bond Realty was an immense help in finding me one that I absolutely love. She is very professional, and unlike other brokers, she does not push you to sign a lease right away. In fact, she does quite the opposite. She made absolutely certain that everything about the apartment was to my liking and helped me review the lease before signing. She got me a place that I thought I would never get within my budget.
When I say that Hikaru Tashiro has your best interests in mind, I mean it. She even showed me some apartments for which we thought she would not get paid a fee. The money was not her main concern, rather that I was happy with where I ended up. I have already referred her to two of my friends, only a month and a half after my experience with her. If anyone ever asks for a good real estate broker in New York, I will always turn them her way. You will not be disappointed!

My agent, Hikaru Tashiro, is my favorite real estate agent in the whole NYC. I tried different companies since I came to NYC, but Hikaru is definitely the best. She is very polite, nice and hard worker.
I was pretty picky about my future apartment room but Hikaru did not give up on me and really cared about what kind of apartment would be a great match for me. As we talked about apartments over and over again on the phone and at her office, she really understood what I was looking for. I was surprised because it seemed like she knew what I wanted more than I did...
She showed me 4 or 5 apartments (I think) and I fell in love with one of them. I was having extremely hard time finding an apartment within my budget in the area I want to be and I was starting to give up on finding something in the area, but this apartment she found was only a few blocks away from the area, within my budget, very clean and nice!! I was very satisfied with the job she did for me. I'd definitely recommend Hikaru for everybody who's looking for real estate agents.

I'd like to share the story of my amazing experience with Hikaru Tashiro at Bond Realty! I now live in an apartment I love, and I just know I wouldn't have found or gotten this place without Hikaru's help. If it weren't for her, I'd probably still be miserably stalking Craigslist hoping to score an apartment while competing with 15 other applicants for each one that I liked. Instead, I'm living in a sweet apartment!
It all started when I realized I had to move and get a place of my own. I had been the beneficiary of a cheap rent for a number of years, was scared to get back out in the rental market and unsure of who, if anyone, would consider me a valuable tenant. Hikaru was recommended to me by a friend and I called her not knowing what to expect. I thought that as soon as she heard my income level and FICO score she would laugh loudly into the phone and hang up, but that is absolutely not what happened. Hikaru calmly asked me about all the necessary particulars, and she listened patiently as I explained what I hoped to find and what type of street/apartment would suit my lifestyle. She then proposed a strategy that would help me find something better and cheaper. I had called her at the end of March looking to move May 1, but then she said, "Well, if you can move out any earlier, can we start looking for April 15? You will find better rents and there will be less competition if you start looking now." I said, ok. I had high hopes about what she could do for me, because I had to figure out my situation quickly and had no idea where to start.
We began searching a couple days later on a Saturday, and miraculously, the second apartment I saw was The One. We had some barriers to overcome, naturally, but Hikaru was the perfect person to guide me through the whole application process. My naive thinking was, "Well, it's a Saturday. What landlord is even gonna look at my application until Monday?" Wrong, I realized, and Hikaru got me on task. I was surprised that I was at the FedEx Kinko's on a Saturday faxing and scanning her documents, and amazed at the number of text messages, emails and phone calls that passed between us that weekend. But I followed her advice and got together all the documents I could to score that apartment. We worked so hard that weekend and hoped for the best. She never gave up and kept talking to the landlord and the broker about me and kept me informed of every new development. Throughout the whole process she was calm, professional and reassuring, which was just what I needed!
We officially applied for the apt as soon as Monday hit, and by that afternoon . . . I was shocked to learn that I had been approved for the apartment!!! I couldn't believe what a whirlwind it had been and how our hard work had paid off. Hikaru kept guiding me through the process and attended the lease signing with me the next day. She even followed up three weeks later to see how I was doing in the new apartment. I was so glad to have her expertise throughout the whole process!
I cannot say enough about Hikaru's talents as an agent and I now recommend her to everyone I meet who is looking for an apartment. If you are starting your search and really want to find a good apartment (not just one that's okay), call Hikaru!
She is smart, determined and really cared about my situation. Thank you Hikaru and Bond Realty for getting me into the perfect apartment!

Bond Realty was very helpful when I was searching for my apartment. I wanted to avoid the apartment hunt rush during April so I contacted Hikaru Tashiro during my spring break, and by the next week I had my apartment.
I was able to get my first choice with no hassle. Hikaru was very fast on preparing the documents and sending them to the management. She made very organized lists and made sure I knew what was going on.
Her colleagues are also very friendly and will help you along the way.
I recommend Bond and Hikaru Tashiro to anyone!

Upon contacting her, Hikaru found me my apartment within one week of our meeting.
My budget was not big. Hikaru was very honest and very kind. She also worked conscientiously until my application was approved and kept in close contact with both me and my parents who had to act as guarantors.
She was careful to take into consideration what was best for me (i.e. nothing on the ground floor, no bad management companies, etc.).
If you need a broker, I really recommend her. She's not like the other brokers in NYC who have attitudes and only want your money and don't care where they place you as long as they get a check, she's much better and actually cares about her clients
