What $1,800/Month Can Rent You Around New York City

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various New York City neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price:$1,800/month.

↑ This renovated 2BR/1BA in Harlem is going for $1,900/month. It features exposed brick, new appliances (including a dishwasher), and two of skinniest closets in the history of human existence, where you can hang up your shirts. Both of them. One in each closet.

↑ On the Upper East Side, a studio apartment in the East 80s is available for$1,825/month. It has a separate kitchen and a normal-sized closet.

↑ In a new luxury building in Bed-Stuy (almost on the border of Clinton Hill), a1BR/1BA that may or may not look like this sterile model unit is asking$1,900/month. It comes with a balcony, and the building offers an elevator, gym, shared roof deck, laundry room, and lounge.

↑ In Greenpoint, this first-floor 1BR/1BA costs $1,900/month and looks nice enough. We mostly like it because of the guy sitting on his bed like he's awaiting a verdict.

↑ This studio apartment in Midtown East is going for a low, low $1,700/month. It has a closet with mirror doors, if you're a fan of closets and mirrors and combining things.

↑ In Red Hook, a nice-looking, floor-through 2BR/1BA in a newly constructed building is going for $1,900/month. The living room and bedrooms are all spacious and it even includes a separate den/office.

Where would you take your $1,800?
