Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Carolyn M. Chappelle, a native New Yorker, has lived in every borough of New York and currently residing on the Upper East Side. She attended Malcolm-King College (now de-funct) where she studied psychology and John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she studied criminology and forensic psychology.
Early in her career Carolyn enjoyed working with both sellers and first time home buyers. Whether it was helping a buyer secure their first home or getting the seller that magical number, in order to get their property sold in an efficient and timely manner, it has all been very exciting, as well as, rewarding. However, in the past few years she has shifted her focus and is most passionate about new development projects.
Carolyn believes in a rapidly ever changing, not to mention extremely competitive, industry it is not enough to just be a licensed agent. She is continuously educating and reinventing herself to keep up with the pulse of the market. She considers herself to be a real estate professional and takes a multifaceted approach to real estate; which she believes adds value to the services that she provides to her clients. During her ten plus years in real estate, she has acquired several professional certifications in the industry; Property management (NYREI), Construction Management, (Turner School of Construction) and LEED Project Management (Architectural Nexus Inc., affiliated with USGBC) and real estate Investments.
She has applied her industry education and insight to consult and help facilitate transactions for small to midsized developers and investors. The services she provides for developers range from sourcing properties to conceptual design consulting, as well as helping to facilitate financing through multiple financing sources.
There is nothing like the feeling of giving back to society, so whenever she can, Carolyn volunteers her time to different causes throughout New York and her local community. She is also an active member of St. Bartholomew's church.
