Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Whether you’re looking for your dream home, a transitional apartment, a real estate investment or trying to sell or rent a property, you will find that Diane Karnett listens to what her clients want and she delivers.
Diane’s eclectic taste, perceptiveness with buyers and sellers, passion for the city and keen business acumen make for the right match among clients. Her conscientiousness, hard work, insightfulness and sense of humor have won her many loyal clients.
A New Yorker for most of her life, Diane has moved between the Upper East Side, Murray Hill and the Village, spent several years in Paris, and finally scouted and signed off on the deal of her own apartment in a century old building with a wood burning fireplace on Riverside Drive.
Diane mobilized her resources and contacts from her successes in documentary filmmaking. Her work has been aired on the Discovery Channel, where she acted as Producer, Director and Screenwriter; in private catering at some of the city’s most exclusive venues; in marketing for French/American telecommunications firms and in not-for-profit fundraising. She has traveled and worked throughout the United States, France, Great Britain and Cuba. Diane knows the city inside and out, has a love of the city’s history and architecture and is also a licensed New York City tour guide.
Diane operates on the principle that, not only is it important to treat people well on a social level, but it also makes good business sense. Nice guys do NOT finish last. That is why a chapter was devoted to her in the bestselling business book, “THE POWER OF NICE, How to Conquer the Business World with Kindness,” by Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval.
An ardent film and theater goer, Diane also enjoys traveling and writing. She is a volunteer of Living Waters Children’s Centre, a not-for-profit organization that helps disadvantaged children around the world.
