Hugh O'Donnell

Hugh O'Donnell

Licensed Real Estate Salesperson

Hugh was born and raised just outside of Dublin, Ireland. He spent most of his youth either playing rugby or sailing in the small coastal fishing village of Dunmore East. His mother was a scientist and his father a physiotherapist, which, combined with his proclivity for sports, offered him a very educational and grounded childhood. At his high school, Newbridge College High School, he was elected Vice Captain of his class and was the captain of the rugby team.

After high school, Hugh attended Dublin Business School on scholarship and graduated with a BA in Accounting and Finance. He spent the summers between semesters traveling (often to the United States) and immersing himself in as much international culture as he was able. It was during this time that him and his girlfriend got the itch to relocate and try something new.

Hugh now lives in New York City and spends his time getting to know his clients better than they know themselves. He works for the largest independently owned real estate brokerage in Manhattan on one of the most successful agent teams, specializing in relocation, sales, rentals and commercial real estate in downtown Manhattan. When he’s not working, you can find him exploring the city, meeting new people and enjoying life with his girlfriend Rebecca.

I highly recommend Hugh O'Donnell and Justin Duffy. My roommates and I looked at a lot of apartments with a lot of agents before finding Hugh and Justin at an open house representing the apartment we ultimately signed for. They struck a good balance of professional and friendly. They answered our questions about the apartment well, and when we decided to apply for the apartment, they helped us through the process quickly to help us secure the apartment. While we decided not to look at any other apartments with them after they showed us the first one, they were available and offered to show us a handful of other suitable apartments, some of which we had seen earlier on StreetEasy, and some listings that were exclusive with them, which looked like good options if we had decided to continue looking. I had a good experience going through the process with Hugh and Justin and I recommend working with them.
